Admiral, which designs and produces software systems including management services, lifted pre- tax profits to pounds 2m ( pounds 1.7m) for the half year to 30 June on turnover of pounds 13.7m ( pounds 10.7m). Interim dividend is raised to 1.7p (1.5p).

Dudley Jenkins Group, which supplies mailing lists to advertisers in the UK and abroad, increased pre-tax profits to pounds 466,000 ( pounds 340,000) for the year to 30 April. Final dividend is 2.65p, making a total unchanged at 4p.

Radiant Metal Finishing, the electroplating company and residential property developer, has cut pre-tax losses from pounds 169,000 to pounds 95,000 for the year to February.

Edinburgh Oil & Gas reported a sharp fall in pre-tax profits to pounds 6,000 ( pounds 234,000) for the half year to 30 June. No dividend.

Kleinwort High Income Trust has declared a final dividend of 1.85p, making 7.5p for the year to 30 June. Its net asset value stood at 74.2p.

Pacer Systems halved pre-tax profits from dollars 645,000 to dollars 320,000 in the half year to 30 June. Dividend is held at three cents.
