Fisons and Allergan of the US are forming an alliance to serve the US ophthalmic prescription market. It includes Acular, approved for marketing in November.

Bostrom, the specialist engineer, has conditionally agreed to acquire AJW Holdings for pounds 1.8m in shares.

Heavitree Brewery made pre-tax profits of pounds 560,000 ( pounds 910,000) on turnover of pounds 8.4m ( pounds 6.3m) in the year to 31 October.

Burlington, the investment company, made pre-tax profits of pounds 171,000 against pounds 160,000 in the year to 31 December. Dividend for year unchanged at 0.5p.

Bristol Channel Ship Repairers made a pounds 236,000 loss ( pounds 75,000 profit) in the 28 weeks to 9 October on pounds 34,000 turnover ( pounds 662,000). There is again no dividend.

DC Cook Holdings lost pounds 56,000 in the half to 31 October, compared with pounds 107,000 profit. There is no interim payout (0.2p).

TR City of London Trust announced an unchanged interim dividend of 1.19p and net assets of 125.7p (109.6p) as at 31 December.
