Finals

Prestwick, the electronics group, reduced pre-tax losses to pounds 1.25m ( pounds 3.97m). Loss per share 7.11p (20.34p). No dividend (0.5p).

Finelist, the automotive components manufacturer, reported pre- tax profits of pounds 2.45m ( pounds 1m). Earnings per share 8.2p (3p). Dividend 1.5p (nil).

Interims

Grampian, the industrial holding company, reported pre-tax profits of pounds 3.59m ( pounds 2.05m). Earnings per share 3.68p (2.14p). Dividend unchanged at 1.7p.

Walker Greenbank, the wallcoverings group, made pre-tax profits up 23 per cent at pounds 4.1m. Dividend up 8 per cent at 1.3p.

Arcadian International, the hotels and property group, reported taxable profits of pounds 116,000 ( pounds 471,000 loss). No dividend.

Navan Resources, the mining engineers and exploration group, made pounds 549,000 pre-tax profits ( pounds 297,000). Earnings per share 0.57p (0.07p).

Trafficmaster, which is developing a traffic-monitoring system, saw its pre-tax loss worsen to pounds 541,000 ( pounds 468,000). Loss per share 2.9p (3.6p). No dividend.

Other

Going Places Leisure Travel, an Airtours subsidiary, acquired Late Escapes, the specialist late bookings agency, for up to pounds 6.4m depending on profits.
