Fortnum & Mason, the department store, lifted pre-tax profits to pounds 1.6m (pounds 1.5m) in the 28 weeks to 22 January. EPS 249p (235p). Interim dividend held at 86p.
Year ended 31 December
Arcolectric Holdings, maker of electrical and electronic components, rose from pounds 105,000 to pounds 403,000 pre-tax profit. EPS doubled to 5.57p (2.37p). Total dividend 1.215p (1.11p).
Goal Petroleum's net profits fell from pounds 7m to pounds 5.1m. EPS 3.79p (5.23p). Total dividend 1.45p (1.4p).
Perry Group, the vehicle retailer and repairer, announced pre-tax profits of pounds 5.2m (pounds 3.2m). Group sales pounds 311m (pounds 289m). Final dividend is 4.25p, making 7p (6p).
Needler Group incurred pounds 329,000 taxable loss (profit dollars 1m). Loss per share 5 cents (EPS 3.5 cents). No dividend.
Vinten, maker of photographic equipment, dropped from pounds 10.2m to pounds 4.2m pre-tax profits. EPS 6.1p (21.7p). Total dividend 7.8p (7p).
Correction: Cairn Energy reported pre-tax profits up from pounds 855,000 to pounds 2.1m, helped by a rise in production levels and gains from the acquisition of Teredo in May 1993. EPS 3.52p (3.03p). No dividend.
