Fletcher King rose to pounds 301,000 ( pounds 224,000) pre-tax profit for the year to 31 April. EPS 2.1p (1.6p). Total dividend is 1.5p (1p).
Year to 31 March
Critchley Group pre-tax profits rose 26 per cent to pounds 3.85m. Group sales increased 21 per cent to pounds 28.8m ( pounds 23.9m), and included a pounds 3.2m contribution from Critchley Label Centre. EPS 22.5p (17.2p). Total dividend 8.1p.
Filofax Group lifted pre-tax profits to pounds 3.3m ( pounds 2.2m) as sales in Continental Europe grew 84 per cent in the year, while in Britain like-for-like sales were up 20 per cent. EPS 10.1p (7.7p). Total dividend is 1.75p (1.25p).
Renold boosted pre-tax profits from pounds 1.2m to pounds 6m, benefiting from operating efficiencies achieved through the pounds 33m investment programme it began five years ago to refit its plant and factory. EPS 7.4p (0.9p). Total dividend is 2.5p (1p).
Six months to 31 March
Brooke Tool Engineering made pounds 76,000 pre-tax profit (loss pounds 397,000). EPS 0.2p (LPS 1.1p).
Electronic Data Processing fell from pounds 2.3m to pounds 2.1m pre-tax profit, hit by a drop in the price of computer hardware equipment, which it is moving away from, but continues to supply. EPS 5.12p (6.02p). Dividend held at 0.667p.
Johnson & Firth Brown incurred pounds 842,000 taxable loss (profit pounds 2.1m). LPS 0.9p (EPS 0.8p). No dividend (1p).
