Your support makes all the difference.Helical Bar, the property developer and trader, lifted pre-tax profits to pounds 6.6m ( pounds 5.9m) for the year to 31 January. Eps slipped to 27p (29p). Total dividend is 5.8p (4.8p).
Year ended 31 December
British Dredging, the sand, gravel and concrete products supplier, increased pre-tax profits by 81 per cent to pounds 1.9m ( pounds 1.1m). Eps 7.91p (4.26p). Total dividend is 5.6p (5.2p).
Cluff Resources sharply reduced taxable losses from pounds 2.5m to pounds 218,000 as turnover improved to pounds 18m ( pounds 14.5m). Lps fell to 1p (5.4p). No dividend.
Henry Boot, the property and construction group, reported pre-tax profits ahead at pounds 7.6m ( pounds 7.1m) on 27 per cent rise in turnover to pounds 164.6m ( pounds 129.4m). Eps 20p (18.9p). Total dividend is 6.5p (5.9p).
Oriel Group, provider of insurance broking services, maintained the total dividend payout at 5p despite increasing taxable losses from pounds 74,000 to pounds 1.9m. Lps worsened to 8.9p (5.8p).
United Energy, the oil and gas group, returned lower pre-tax profits of pounds 23,000 ( pounds 58,000). Eps fell to 0.1p (0.2p).
Yorklyde, a cloth, scarf and rug maker, revealed a rise in pre-tax profits from pounds 2m to pounds 3m. Eps 20.6p (15.6p). Total dividend is 6p (5.2p).
Six months to 31 December
Benchmark Group, the property investor and provider of financial services, achieved pounds 1.2m pre-tax profit (loss pounds 3.1m) helped by a rise in turnover from pounds 3.4m to pounds 5.3m. Eps 7.1p (Lps 19.16p). No dividend.
Molyneux Estates turned pounds 548,000 taxable loss into pounds 357,000 pre-tax profit on 19 per cent growth in turnover to pounds 2.3m ( pounds 1.9m). Eps 0.84p (Lps 1.35p). Dividend is 0.75p.
