C&W plays down One2One float

CABLE & WIRELESS yesterday played down reports that it was poised for a pounds 5bn flotation of One2One, the mobile phone operator in which it has a half stake. Sources close to C&W said that its new chief executive, Graham Wallace, would examine a number of options ranging from demerger and trade sale to buying out Media One of the US, the other 50 per cent shareholder.
