In early afternoon trading the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 21.11 at 7,751.22, while bargain hunters snapped up technology stocks after four days of selling. The Nasdaq gained 26.99 to 1,447.58, recouping about two-thirds of yesterday's fall. Analysts said stocks were still very volatile.
