US STOCKS were mixed at midday yesterday with the technology-heavy Nasdaq powering into record territory once again, while rising bond interest rates weighed on the blue chips.
The Dow Jones was off 86 points, or 0.77 per cent, at 11,139. The Nasdaq was up 46.67 points, or 1.29 per cent, at 3,668.62, surpassing Monday's record close of 3,658.67 after climbing through 3,700 points for the first time ever in early morning.
