STOCKS STRUGGLED to another loss yesterday as fears of higher interest rates and soaring bond yields weighed on investors.

At the close of trading on Wall Street, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 6.33 points at 10,707.70. The Standard and Poor's 500 fell 2.45 points to 1,297.84, and the Nasdaq composite fell 28.99 to 2,518.98.

The Russian President, Boris Yeltsin, kept world markets off balance after he fired his prime minister and the entire cabinet.
