US STOCKS fell, led by JP Morgan & Co and Citigroup on concern that volatile Latin American financial markets could hurt profits for companies that do business there. Stocks pared losses in late trading on optimism for corporate earnings reports as worries about the region waned, investors said.
"The reality is we're getting a spate of earnings reports this week and next, and we think those will be at or above expectations," said one analyst. The Dow Jones industrial index fell 25.96, or 0.2 per cent, to 11,175.02.
