NERVOUSNESS OVER second-quarter earnings figures prevented Wall Street stocks from making any gains in early trading. By mid-morning, the Dow Jones index was off 19 points, or 0.18 per cent, at 11,115. The tech-laden Nasdaq index was up 3 points, or 0.10 per cent, at 2,733.
