THE BENCHMARK Xetra DAX index rebounded from an early 1 per cent fall to close marginally higher, led by a 9 per cent surge by Deutsche Telekom. The index finished up 0.13 per cent at 5,070.98.
The DAX cut its early fall as Deutsche Telekom shares rose after the group said it would increse its weighting on the index to 13 per cent in June, from 5.07 per cent, as a result of a change in the status of the 1.7 billion shares owned by the German government.
