THE AMSTERDAM exchange was among the best performing bourses in Europe yesterday, with Unilever's surprise special dividend helping the benchmark index close more than 1.5 per cent higher.
The Amsterdam exchanges index finished up 8.38 points at 536.69. Unilever rose 1.2 euros to 69.5.
Vittorio Gaudio, fund manager at Sofiban SpA, said: "There has been success in corporate restructuring and increasing efficiency among companies".
