Arcadia seeks to buy Sears chains

ARCADIA, the Burton to Dorothy Perkins retailer, is in talks to buy the womenswear businesses of the former Sears group, including the Wallis and Miss Selfridge chains, now controlled by entrepreneur Philip Green. No price has been indicated, but Arcadia is to issue a stock market statement this morning.
