Blast in jail injures two officers

A HOME-MADE incendiary device exploded in the sex offenders' wing of a high-security jail yesterday, injuring two prison officers. The device, which was constructed from matches doused in chemicals, was left on a landing of the unit at Full Sutton prison in York. It went off at 10.40am while it was being inspected by two officers.
