Financial Assurance is offering some of the best rates in the market for four- and five-year guaranteed income bonds. Four- year pounds 50,000 deposits attract a rate of 6.55 per cent. Four-year pounds 20,000 bonds bring 6.5 per cent. The five-year escalator bond gives 6.0 per cent in the first year, 6.25 per cent in the second, 6.5 per cent in the third, 7.05 per cent in the fourth and 7.72 per cent in the fifth.
