Why you should consider home insurance from Saga with a 3-year fixed price
Saga Home’s three-year fixed price insurance could mean great value from a name you can trust
Choosing insurance can seem like a minefield, but with a Defaqto 5 Star rating, Saga Home is one to consider for over-50s looking for peace of mind.
What's more, a three-year fixed price guarantee means that if nothing changes during your policy, neither will your price. This means that you can relax knowing how much your insurance will be, yet you’re still free to leave at the end of each year (terms and conditions apply).
If you don't want to fix your price there's always the option of non-fixed price cover with Saga Essential.
Great benefits
As you’d expect from a 5 Star-rated provider, Saga Home is packed with great benefits and top-quality cover. These include accidental damage cover for mishaps in the home, personal belongings cover for when you're out, and alternative accommodation if you need to move out for up to £1 million as a result of a claim.
However, Saga Home Insurance is only available direct, so it won’t appear on any comparison sites.
Buildings insurance
In addition to alternative accommodation if your home is uninhabitable following a claim, there’s accidental damage cover for fixtures and fittings, as well as for any cables, tanks and underground pipes you’re responsible for. You’re even covered if you’re away from home for up to 60 days in a row.
Contents insurance
Homeowners can feel reassured with contents cover of up to £100,000. There's also lock replacement if your keys are lost or stolen, new-for-old replacement of items, and there's no need to specify individual items kept within the home worth less than £2,500.
Saga's higher level of cover, Saga Home also comes with additional benefits as standard, including up to £10,000 of personal belongings cover for your items in and away from your home, such as mobile phones or tablets.
Garden furniture is insured up to £1,000 (and can be increased to £5,000), plus accidental damage cover offers extra peace of mind, whether it’s a dropped tablet, broken glasses or a red wine spill on the sofa.
Renters' insurance
Saga Home also offers renters' insurance, with alternative accommodation up to the value of £25,000 if your home is uninhabitable following a claim, along with temporary storage for your belongings.
There’s £2,000,000 of cover for liability as a tenant, as well as optional Legal Expenses cover in case of a dispute with your landlord.
Joining Saga also gives you access to the Possibilities membership programme, offering discounts and prize draws on food, travel, events and more.
