Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Marks & Spencer launched a huge, up-to-half-price sale earlier this week, which discounts selected items both in-store and online. The sale includes free delivery to more than 450 M&S stores in the UK, with many of the best buys available in the men's, women's and children's fashion departments. Outside of clothing there are some good offers on M&S homeware. Pay particular attention to the glassware section, where a floral bubble jug has been reduced from £22.50 to £15, and Marcel Wanders Martini glasses are available for just £5.

Half-price discounts on offer at Fitflops

Fitflops is also running a 50 per cent discount at the moment. Summer sandals, trainers and winter boots are all included with some shoes available for as little as £22.50. Even better, customers entering the code FREESHIP1 while making their purchase automatically receive free delivery on their purchases. It ends at midnight on Wednesday.

Log on for Next's online savings

Next's hugely popular half-price sale may have come to an end in stores a few weeks ago, but the discounts are still very much available online. Savings can made on selected items across Next.co.uk but, somewhat unusually for this kind of sale, there doesn't seem to be any kind of delivery discount on your purchases. The sale runs as long as stocks last so, as the sale has already been running a number of weeks, you'd best be quick if you want to bag a bargain.

H urry for Ann Summers savings

Ann Summers' 75 per cent off lingerie sale comes to an end tomorrow, with top buys including thongs for £1.50, briefs for £2 and bras for just £3. The sale is running both in-store and online at AnnSummers.com. Purchases must be made before midnight tomorrow for the discounts to apply, with delivery costing £3.95.
