Those looking to do a spotof early Christmas shopping should be aware that Bhs began a buy one get one half price sale this week. The discount applies to every item in every department and orders over £10 come with free delivery.

Covent Garden gets into festive mood

Shops in Seven Dials andSt Martin's Courtyard in Covent Garden will be taking part in a 20 per cent discount shopping evening on Thursday. The event will run for four hours, from 5pm, and will feature in-store entertainment in the form of live musicians and DJs. As well as shops, a number of cafés, restaurants and bars from both areas are also taking part, so even if you're not looking to make a purchase, you can soak up the festive atmosphere.

B&Q can do a toolkit deal

B&Q has cut the price of its MacAllistar 23-piece tool kitin store. It includes a six-piece screwdriver, a five-piece combination wrench, 6in nose pliers, 7in combination pliers, an eight-piece folding hex key set, a 5m x 9m tape measure, a one-piece hacksaw and a one-piece plastic tool box. The set usually sells for around £60but will be available for £30 until 22 December.

Winter discount on London walks

London Detours has teamed up with Money Supermarket to create a 60 per cent off voucher discount on walking tours of London this winter. The four and a half hour tours usually sell for £25 but can now be snapped up for just£10. To claim visit Moneysupermarket.com, purchase the tour you want to take and await an email telling you how to claim the discount. The offer expires this Monday but can be redeemed any time before 19 March.
