Bargain Hunter: Keep taking the tablets to get £30 off a new Kindle Fire
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Sendly app allows remote top ups to mobile phones
A new app has been launched that allows you to send a mobile credit to friends or family. Sendly is a free standalone app that is a new way for anyone to top up prepaid paid phone users almost anywhere in the world.
Once you've downloaded the app there are three steps: choose a phone number imported from your contact list; decide the amount of credit you'd like to send to that person; confirm payment, and get immediate confirmation.
The new app – available free on iTunes and Google Play – is from Rebtel, the app that allows users to call friends and family free or for next to nothing.
Rebtel has also partnered with Unicef so that $1 for each of the first 10,000 Sendly transactions will go to support children in the Philippines.
