Share valuation service on offer

PRIVATE investors can get a monthly valuation of their shares portfolio from the London stockbrokers Killik & Co for a fixed annual fee of pounds 30 including VAT. A quarterly valuation costs pounds 15.

'We are not aware of any similar service available to private investors,' a spokesman for Killik & Co said. 'Most other stockbrokers and banks will often only provide this service if they hold the securities concerned.'
