THE stockbrokers Waters Lunniss are extending their instant settlement service to give discounted settlement rates for people with the same surname in the same family.

Commission of 1.5 per cent (with a minimum fee of pounds 22.50) is currently charged for deals worth up to pounds 5,000 for any one individual. Under the new 'family batching' service, an additional three members of the same family can sell shares in the same company for another pounds 10 or 1.5 per cent commission (whichever is the higher) per person.
