Framlington phone service

Framlington unit trust managers has set up a seven-day-a- week telephone-based service - Direct from Framlington - which will give investors information about products but leave them to make their own decisions.

Investors will still have to pay a full 5 per cent - the same as they would pay for investing via an independent financial adviser.

It also plans to sell simple pensions via the telephone.
