COVENTRY'S instant access account rates are fixed until the end of July. There is 10 days' loss of interest on withdrawals.

For 90-day notice accounts, Lambeth offers the best rate on pounds 30,000 deposits. Its Premier 90 Plus offers a gross return of 8.3 per cent. Withdrawals before March next year suffer 90 days' loss of interest.

The Woolwich 90-day notice account offers 7.25 per cent gross on pounds 10,000 deposits, 7.75 per cent on pounds 25,000, 8 per cent on pounds 50,000 and 8.25 per cent on pounds 100,000. One withdrawal a year of up to pounds 5,000 can be made without giving notice.
