WINNING DRUMS AT THE SOUTH BANK
Rhythm Sticks, the festival of drumming and percussion from across the globe returns for a third year to the Royal Festival Hall, from tomorrow to 20 July.
This year's event, supported by The Independent, is bigger and noisier than ever. As well drumming up support from top-name artists such as Bill Bruford, Billy Cobham, Glen Velez and Vikku Vinayakram, there is free foyer music, workshops, a children's concert, as well as the Rhythm Sticks Fair on the last day.

To get you in the rhythm mood, we are offering a first prize of a pair of Meinl Percussion Marathon wood congas (right) which update the traditional drum form using the best new materials and modern design.
