When Will Smith tried his first ever Aussie meat pie it’s safe to say that things didn’t go entirely to plan.

During his whistle-stop tour of Australia, the Fresh Prince actor has turned his hand to vlogging, documenting the highlights of his trip including meeting koalas, climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge and taking part in a traditional aboriginal ceremony.

But out of all the incredible ventures he’s completed during the trip, eating a traditional Australian meat pie is up there with the best of them.

In the latest episode of Smith’s Down Under vlog series it cuts to a segment titled “Australian Cuisine feat Will Smith.”

Here, the 49-year-old is given a meat pie to try from Australian brand Four ‘N Twenty but before sampling the local delicacy an local Aussie shares some words of warning.

“It’s gonna get hot, it’s gonna get nasty, it’s gonna go all over the place,” he cautions.

However, the movie star didn’t pay attention to the local and instead sunk his teeth into the meaty parcel with abandon.

“Ouch, that’s hot as s*** in there!” the shocked actor said.

“That was hot. That just burnt my face!”

Despite the pain, Smith continued to eat the pie as the Australian in the background advised he keep his mouth open while chewing to help it cool down.

“But why don’t you just wait until it gets cool?” a baffled Smith asked.

Nonetheless, Smith said the pie was “really, really good” adding, “When the skin grows back in my mouth I think I’ll be able to enjoy other Australia delicacies.”

He also shared the clip on his Instragram account where it has received an impressive 3.5 million likes since the time of posting.

Here hundreds of fans flocked to congratulate the actor on trying his first ever Aussie pie.

“Burning your tongue is the initiation ceremony,” one person wrote.

Others offered Smith some advice on how to improve his Four ‘N Twenty experience.

“Bro, not even joking, next time you get the chance, put some god damn tomato sauce on that god damn pie, cools it down 100 per cent of the time!” someone explained.

Another added, “Btw, if you peel off the top and mix sauce with the meat and then dip the top in, that’s the way to do it.”
