Why this hybrid mattress could give you an improved night's sleep
There are plenty of benefits to choosing a Casper Hybrid mattress, a great new design that combines foam and springs for added comfort
With an abundance of mattress options on the market, it can be tricky to know what to opt for. This new design from award-winning sleep experts Casper combines foam and springs to offer the best of both worlds. Here’s why there’s so much hype about the Hybrid...
More comfort
While traditional sprung mattresses can poke and prod throughout the night, the foam in a hybrid can help to stop this. Casper Hybrid is constructed from four different types of foam – 3.8cm of open cell foam, 3.8cm of responsive memory foam, 3.8cm of adaptive transition foam and 12.6cm of durable support foam that encases the coils – with all four combining to offer an improved night’s sleep.
Extra support
Adding memory foam to a mattress can mean extra support and better spinal alignment. It also increases edge support, which extends the sleep surface of the mattress, giving you more room to stretch out. Casper’s Hybrid has zoned support with springs as well, meaning it’s able to treat shoulders and hips differently, providing more effective support for each part of the body.
Less motion transfer
The pocket coil technology in the Casper Hybrid reduces motion transfer caused by tossing and turning, which helps to promote a more restful slumber, increasing the time spent in REM. Achieving good quality REM sleep has been shown to improve mood and concentration, and help to protect against health issues such as heart disease, diabetes and stroke, according to The Great British Bedtime Report from The Sleep Council.
Can keep you cool
Traditional memory foam can feel warm and make it seem as though you’re sinking into the mattress. Choosing a Hybrid reduces the problem of sinking and helps keep you cool, thanks to individual coils that help to dissipate heat, not trap it.
Added convenience
The Casper Hybrid is easy to clean, with a zip-off cover that’s washable at 40°C, plus it has hidden handles to make moving and turning the mattress easier. The Hybrid also comes with a 100-night, risk-free trial, as well as a 10-year limited warranty. It’s available in all standard UK sizes and delivery and returns are free.
UK-made and thoroughly tested
The Hybrid is designed and engineered in San Francisco by Casper’s award-winning R&D team, and assembled in the UK from British and EU-made components. As with all Casper mattresses, the Hybrid is BS7177 (low-hazard) compliant, and also certified by CertiPUR, a voluntary programme which looks at the environmental and safety properties of polyurethane foam products.
