Tuesday's offer...
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.English Touring Opera last performed at Sadler's Wells in 1996 and now they're back at the Peacock Theatre with two productions: a revival of La Cenerentola and a new production of Fidelio. ETO's production of Rossini's opera of the Cinderella story received a tremendous response on the company's recent Autumn tour, a success ETO hopes to repeat with its staging of Fidelio, Beethoven's only and rarely performed opera.
Rossini makes full use of the familiar elements of the classic Cinderella story but Beethoven's opera may be less familiar. Fidelio tells of a woman's love for her wrongfully imprisoned husband, Florestan, and the lengths to which she goes to be reunited with him.
In conjunction with English Touring Opera, The Independent is able to offer its readers five free pairs of tickets for tonight's performance of La Cenerentola and tomorrow night's performance of Fidelio. In addition, for the same two performances, The Independent is able to offer pounds 5 off the top two ticket prices (pounds 32.50 & pounds 27.50). These offers can be claimed by telephoning Sadler's Wells at the Peacock Theatre Box Office on 0171- 314 8800
