Positioned in New York's Times Square, the 30ft billboard features a model binding a screaming Trump in red, white and blue rope while stamping on his face.
Avi Brown, chief executive of Dhvani said it referenced the Trump administration’s changes to the Title X programme, which stipulate that family planning clinics receiving federal funds cannot provide or refer patients for abortions with the only exceptions being in cases of rape, incest or medical emergency.
The firm also tweeted that "it was taking a stand against" against the changes.
"Established in 1970 with bipartisan support, the Title X program provides affordable birth control and reproductive health care to people with low incomes," it said.
“Trump's Gag Rule, which directly opposes federal law, silences healthcare professionals, preventing them from providing information on where and how to access reproductive healthcare to over four million American women.”
Those who disagree with its stance are welcome to “vote with your dollars by shopping elsewhere”, it added.
The company uploaded further images featuring the president on Instagram, with one depicting a group of models standing behind Trump and holding black duct tape over his mouth.
In the caption for the image, Dhavni revealed it would be donating a percentage of its sales to non-profit organisations that support reproductive healthcare across the US.
The brand’s campaign imagery has been both applauded and criticised, with some people arguing that the pictures featuring Trump are advocating violence.
In response, Dhavni said that its imagery was intended to be “metaphorical”, writing on Twitter: “Dhavni produced the images of this campaign to artistically express the frustrations we believe many women share.
“All images are metaphorical in nature only. DHVANI does NOT and will NEVER condone violence of ANY KIND.”
Trump has not publicly responded to the campaign, but his son, Donald Trump Jr, tweeted about the billboard, criticising the media for not condemning it.
"Since you had time to thoroughly cover a stupid and tasteless meme seen by eight people with incredible outrage, I figured you should dedicate the same time and outrage to this billboard in Times Square you hypocrites," he wrote in reference to a parody video depicting a caricature of Trump murdering members of the media that had played during a conference at Trump's Miami golf resort last week.
