The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are among royals celebrating the Queen’s official birthday today at the Trooping the Colour parade in London.

Thousands of royal fans gathered on the streets to welcome the newlyweds, who married three weeks ago, as they arrived in a horse-drawn carriage to mark the occasion.

The couple joined were joined by several other members of the royal family for the celebrations, including Prince Charles and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Roughly 1,000 soldiers took part in the procession, which saw them march to Horse Guards Parade in Whitehall.

The annual event dates back more than 250 years and this year’s ceremony will parade the flag of the 1st Battalion Coldstream Guards.

The Duchess of Cornwall shared a carriage with the Duchess of Cambridge, who wore a powder blue dress by Alexander McQueen and a coordinating hat designed by London-based milliner Juliette Botterill.

The Countess of Wessex followed behind in a carriage with her 14-year-old daughter, Lady Louise Windsor along with Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.

The Queen arrived in a separate procession in an Ascot Landau carriage without Prince Philip, who retired from royal engagements in 2017.

She wore a sky blue coat and dress by Stewart Parvin, accessorised with a hat by Angela Kelly, who has a long history of designing garments for the royal family.

For her first Trooping the Colour parade, the Duchess of Sussex donned a bespoke blush pink dress by Carolina Herrera, complete with an off-the-shoulder neckline and a matching fascinator by British milliner Philip Treacy.

She is believed to have just returned for her honeymoon with the Duke of Sussex and the couple are expected to later join the royal family to watch the Red Arrows from the balcony of Buckingham Palace as part of the annual celebrations.
