Travis Kelce has revealed the one season he wouldn’t dare say “I do” in, as rumors swirl that he’s going to propose to Taylor Swift this year.

“I’ve seen weddings in f**king February. I’ve seen weddings everywhere but the fall. So I’m not sure if the fall was a good wedding season,” the Kansas City Chiefs player, 35, candidly said on the January 8 episode of his podcast New Heights after a listener asked he and his older brother Jason for their opinion on fall weddings, which are right in the middle of football season.

“I actually don’t know people who’ve gotten married in the fall because all the weddings I’ve been to and all my friends always do it in the summer,” he noted.

“You gotta be willing to find a weekend where the team isn’t playing anybody good maybe,” Travis told the caller, who admitted his fiancée wanted to have a fall wedding but he didn’t.

Travis then said: “If you really do have a problem with that, maybe it’s in her best interest to not have it in the fall so that she knows you’re invested in the anniversary every time it comes around. I think you guys should duke that out.”

Of course, for the NFL tight end, the months of September, October, and November mark the beginning of football season, meaning he’s booked and busy most weekdays and weekends.

And though he is not engaged, it’s possible marriage is on his mind given the fact that he’s been in a relationship with the Midnights creator for about two years now.

In fact, many fans believe he’ll get down on one knee this year amid reports the sought-after couple have plans to live together in Nashville when they want to start a family. Even Today Show co-hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager agree Travis and Swift are next in line to get engaged.

“Our final prediction on another couple [about to get engaged is] Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift,” they said on Tuesday (January 7).

Back on the topic of fall weddings, Kelce noted how he wouldn’t want to make his friends choose between attending an NFL game and his nuptials.

“Don’t make my friends have to not go. Everybody’s got season tickets,” he said. “Don’t make my friends have to choose whether or not they have to sell their tickets that week.”

Jason, 37, begged to differ, arguing: “There’s a lot more important things than football, and weddings happen to be one of them.

“And not arguing with your wife is high up there with more important than football. So I would just do the wedding whenever she wants to, because that’s kinda your job now,” the former Philadelphia Eagles player added.

Already, we’ve seen one celebrity couple announce their engagement in 2025: Tom Holland and Zendaya. On Monday (January 6), TMZ reported the pair, who’ve been dating for nearly four years, were now engaged, citing sources close to both of them. Holland reportedly proposed to the Euphoria star in the week between Christmas and New Year’s at her family home.
