Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

A big hand, ladies and gents, for Yes Please, No Thank You, an old favourite under new tutelage. Every week, Imogen Fox will select the best and worst fashion has to offer. First down the runway, this divinely affordable oyster frock coat to carry you from winter to spring

THIS WEEK'S Yes Please, for lots of reasons, is this oyster grey three- button frock coat by Paul Frith from BHS. First off, it will be perfect for in-between months if you don't want to be coat-less just yet (see No Thank You), so you can buy it and wear it immediately. It will make your wardrobe more chic, and lots of people will comment on it if you wear it over black. Brighter silvery greys appeared on many a catwalk for spring/summer - Ralph Lauren, Donna Karan, Ann Demeulemeester, Clements Ribiero and Ghost to name but a few. It's the right colour for "occasions" if you ask me. The linen/viscose coat is part of BHS's "Premier Collection" and was designed by Paul Frith exclusively for them. BHS sponsored Frith's first solo collection two years ago at London Fashion Week and he now acts as a design consultant for them. He's not the only designer with BHS connections either - Owen Gaster has designed a couple of pieces for the store too. All definitely worth a look.

Paul Frith coat (sizes 10-18) pounds 99, BHS. Available now in 20 branches nationwide. Enquiries: 0171 262 3288
