Lorry loads of raw sewage are causing a stink in west London. Office workers at Pharos Marine in Brentford High Street complained to Thames Water about the smell when sewage tankers, passing their office because of a local traffic diversion, stopped at the lights.
A spokeswoman for Thames Water said moving sewage around London was normal practice. 'It's just this one company that is finding it a problem. She thought the recent hot weather may have been to blame.
She said Thames would look at the ventilation on the tankers and might consider another route if the problem continued.
