Meghan Markle’s wax figure has undergone a makeover to accommodate a pregnant stomach after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced they were expecting their second child.

On Sunday, the couple revealed that Meghan is pregnant with a black-and-white photo taken by friend and photographer Misan Harriman, which shows the pair lying in the grass with the duchess’s head lying in Prince Harry’s lap while she cradles her bump.

“We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child,” a spokesperson for the couple confirmed at the time.

Following the announcement, Madame Tussauds Sydney decided to update the duchess’s wax figure to reflect the news, according to their Instagram.

The wax museum shared the transformation of Meghan’s figurine on their account, where the duchess can be seen wearing a leopard print maternity dress and posing next to a kangaroo.

According to the museum, the photoshoot took place at the Wild Life Sydney Zoo.

“To celebrate the baby news, today we took Meghan to @wildlifesydneyzoo for a maternity photoshoot … Aussie style,” Madame Tussauds captioned the photos. “Dressed in her new maternity outfit and her gorgeous bump, Meghan received belly kisses from Dot the adorable Kangaroo.

“Congratulations again to Harry, Meghan and soon-to-be big brother, Archie.”

The tribute prompted supportive comments from the museum’s followers, with many sharing their excitement over the couple’s second child.

“This is so cute!” one person commented, while another said: “It’s so crazy how life-like they are! Anyway this is adorable.”

The wax transformation is especially fitting because the duke and duchess first announced they were pregnant with their first child Archie in October 2018, shortly before leaving for a tour of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga.

While in Sydney, the couple received some of their first baby gifts, which included a pair of baby Ugg slippers and a stuffed kangaroo, prompting Meghan to exclaim: “That’s so cute, it’s our first baby gift!”
