Kate Middleton - latest: Princess of Wales releases new photo as children wish William happy Father’s Day
A Father’s Day message followed a public appearance on Saturday by the Princess of Wales, alongside William and the King
The Prince of Wales received a touching Father’s Day message from George, Charlotte and Louis – posted on social media with a new photograph by mum Kate.
The Prince himself posted, wishing King Charles: “Happy Father’s Day, Pa.”
Showing William with his arms around his three children on a beach in Norfolk, the Princess of Wales’ new photograph comes a day after she began a gradual return to public duties after she began cancer treatment.
She made an appearance on the balcony of Buckingham Palace to watch Trooping the Colour.
During the ceremony, she viewed from a window with her children, before returning to the palace to view the RAF fly-past alongside the King, who has also been receiving treatment for cancer.
In a moving statement on Friday, Kate, 42, revealed that she has both good and bad days as she undergoes “preventative chemotherapy” for an undisclosed form of the disease. She admitted that she is “not out of the woods yet.
King Charles waves to the crowds before leaving balcony
The royal family smiled and waved to crowds before standing proudly as the national anthem was played.
The King waved again to cheering crowds before heading inside the palace.
The Prince and Princess of Wales and their children also waved before following Charles and Camilla from the balcony.

Red Arrows fly past the Royal Family
After viewing a number of aircraft in the fly-past, the Red Arrows were received with applause and cheers as they flew over London.
Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis could all be seen staring upwards as they were treated to the spectacle.
Kate, Prince William and their children take to Buckingham Palace balcony
The Princess of Wales has joined her husband and children on the balcony of Buckingham Palace to watch the fly-past, which concludes the Trooping the Colour procession.
Also on the balcony are other senior royals, including the King and Queen, Princess Anne and Prince Edward and his family.
Fly-past is going ahead
The fly-past, which will consist of 10 waves of aircraft, is going ahead with the Royal Family expected to watch from the balcony of Buckingham Palace.

The Royal Family’s official social media has released a short video showing members of the monarchy preparing for the procession and entering their carriages.

King Charles salutes regiments before entering Buckingham Palace
The King has saluted troops at Horse Guards Parade in the official Trooping the Colour ceremony, and has now re-entered Buckingham Palace to appear on the balcony.
The Palace has released a behind the scenes video of the Princess of Wales before she steps into the horse-drawn carriage that takes her to Trooping the Colour.
Kate can be seen playing with Princess Charlotte’s hair, before the family head out to greet the crowds.

Princess Charlotte was seen waving enthusiastically and smiling to the crowds as they travelled back to Buckingham Palace.
The Princess of Wales and Prince Louis also waved and smiled at onlookers.

Kate wears bold white dress last seen at coronation as she returns to public duties at Trooping the Colour
The Princess of Wales looked striking in her first public appearance of 2024 at the Trooping the Colour procession, alongside Prince William and their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
She opted for a dress she was last seen wearing when she attended the King’s coronation in May 2023.
At the event on Saturday, Kate wore a bold white Jenny Packham dress with black detail, and a white angled hat by Philip Treacey.
The dress was a simple knee-length white design, with a white and black bow on her right shoulder.
