Rock the dinosaur at Polka
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Polka Theatre For Children presents Dinosaur Rock! by Keith Brumpton as part of their 1997 summer season.
It's 8,000,000 BC and Gina Poole and Rocky Outcrop of the Prehistoric Times stumble upon a valley where dinosaurs live. What is more, the creatures are planning a Dinovision rock concert to celebrate a million years of dinosaur rule. All goes well until the arrival of the meanest band in town - Tyrannosaurus Rox!
Dinosaur Rock! is sponsored by Flik Flak, the Swiss watch for children.
The Eye is offering one family of four the chance to see the show as well as a dinosaur wristwatch by Flik Flak. Thirty runners-up will each win a Flik Flak Dino alarm clock.
To enter, just answer this question: Was Tyrannosaurus Rex a carnivore or a vegetarian?
Send answers, by 11 July, to Sam Le Rougetel/Dino Comp, The Independent, 1 Canada Square, London E14 5DL. The first correct entry drawn from the postbag wins.
Dinosaur Rock! runs at the Polka Theatre, Wimbledon until 16 August. Tickets and info: 0181-543 4888.
