Paulina Porizkova has called out dating app Hinge after she was “booted off” the platform multiple times.

On Thursday, the former supermodel, who recently announced her breakup from Aaron Sorkin, shared her grievances with the dating app on Instagram, where she captioned a selfie: “Ok, what’s up Hinge?

“I signed up a while back, and was booted off instantly because I had violated guidelines. I didn’t even get to post my photo. My name, it seems, is against guidelines?”

According to the 56-year-old, she tried to contact the dating app to no avail, explaining that “no one bothered to reply”.

However, despite the poor experience with the platform the first time, Porizkova said that she tried to make a profile again after a friend suggested she “use a different phone number and my nickname”.

The tactic worked initially, according to the model, who revealed that she got “a few nice dates that way,” until she found herself removed from the app again.

“And boom, now when I need it - I discover @hinge has booted me off again! What’s a lady to do?” Porizkova concluded the caption, before adding various hashtags, including #BootedOffHinge and #SexyHasNoExpirationDate.

In response to the post, many of Porizkova’s fans encouraged her to keep trying to find love.

“What the heck! Don’t give up, Paulina!” one person commented, while another said: “Don’t give up, there’s someone for everyone out there.”

Others speculated that Porizkova was removed from the app because other users incorrectly assumed that it was a fake profile attempting to catfish.

“Did they think you were someone impersonating the real Paulina?” someone else asked.

In a statement to The Independent, a spokesperson for the app confirmed that the supermodel’s accounts had been deleted because other users assumed she was an imposter and had reported the profile as fake.

Hinge also reached out to Porizkova, to apologise and assure her that her profile was back, writing:We are so sorry for the heartache we’ve caused you! We want everyone to have a positive Hinge experience that ultimately leads to finding love. People thought having you on Hinge was too good to be true and immediately reported your profile for being fake. Your account is back on the runway with a few roses on us.”

Porizkova’s attempts at dating come after she confirmed earlier this week that she and Sorkin, who went public with their relationship in 2020, had decided to part ways.

The 56-year-old shared the news with an Instagram post featuring a paparazzi photo taken of the couple, which she captioned: “I’m so grateful for his presence in my life. He helped heal me and reclaim myself. There truly may be no better man, no man who’s more genuinely ‘good’. He’s brilliant and witty and funny and sexy.

“But it doesn’t matter how much we may wish we were birds of a feather - we’re still a duck and a goose.”

The supermodel concluded the post explaining that, although she is “unfiltered,” that would be all she would say about the breakup, as it “involves someone else’s privacy”.

Porizkova was previously married to singer Ric Ocasek for 28 years, before the pair, who share two sons together, separated in 2018.
