Lori Loughlin’s daughter Olivia Jade Giannulli has returned to YouTube almost nine months after her parent’s participation in a wide-ranging college admissions scandal was revealed.

On Sunday, Giannulli uploaded a new two-minute video to her YouTube channel, where she has more than 1.9m subscribers.

In the video, titled “hi again,” the 20-year-old social media influencer tells viewers that she “really, really missed” uploading videos and has debated coming back for “seven or eight months”.

But, explaining that she is not legally allowed to discuss details of the scandal, Ginnulli said: “Well if I can’t talk about it is there a point in coming back and not being able to say anything?”

"There's no point in me just talking for 10 minutes to the camera about how I wish I can say something when I really can't, so I'm going to leave it at that," she added.

The YouTuber concluded the brief video thanking her followers for their “patience”.

“Moral of the story is I’ve missed you guys so much and I’m really excited to start filming again and to start uploading,” she said.

The video, which has already been viewed more than 1.5m times, comes after Loughlin and her husband, designer Mossimo Giannulli, pleaded not guilty to charges of conspiracy to commit fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering in April after it was reported they paid $500,000 to a fake charity to get their daughters into the University of Southern California.

In October, Giannulli’s parents pleaded not guilty to a third charge of bribery. According to prosecutors, the couple allegedly bribed USC employees to ensure their daughters’ admittance.

The response from fans to Giannulli’s return to social media has been mostly positive, with many people expressing their support for the former USC student.
