This election is still a dead heat, according to most polls. In a fight with such wafer-thin margins, we need reporters on the ground talking to the people Trump and Harris are courting. Your support allows us to keep sending journalists to the story.

Naomi Campbell has spoken out in support of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in light of their decision to step down as 'senior' members of the royal family.

Speaking to PA, at an event to promote her new fashion series, the model firmly stated: "I support them whatever."

Campbell's comments come after the Queen issued a statement explaining that while she is "entirely supportive" of Harry and Meghan's decision to split their time between Canada and the UK, she "would have preferred" for the couple to maintain their royal roles.

The 49-year-old model is among a number of celebrities to have voiced their support for Meghan and Harry since they announced their announcement, which social media users have dubbed "#Megxit".

Stormzy, Jameela Jamil and Oprah Winfrey have all advocated for the couple in the last week, with Stormzy telling Meghan critics to "get the f*** out of here".

It's not the first time Campbell has spoken out in support of Meghan and Harry.

In November, the model told The Guardian that she approved of the couple's choice to launch legal action against a national newspaper.

"When I heard (she was taking legal action), I was like 'Bravo. Good for her'," Campbell said.

The model revealed she had not met Meghan at the time but was "really glad she’s taken action to defend herself”.

Following the Queen's statement, it is expected that Buckingham Palace will release further details about Meghan and Harry's plans for the future in the coming days.
