Clive Jecks has joined Numetrix, the supply chain management software specialist, as vice-president for Europe. He joins from IBM, where he developed and managed a $50m division in the City of London. Also at Numetrix, Andy Puttock has been named sales director, northern Europe. He joins from SSA, where he was sales manager for the Nordic region. Numetrix has appointed Andrew Sterling as alliance manager, UK. He was previously with Andersen Consulting.

Inference has appointed Angelo Maestrini vice-president of international channel operations. He was formerly vice-president of the company's central and southern Europe operations. Meanwhile, Glen Vondrick has joined Inference as senior vice-president of the newly created Americas operations. He was formerly director and general manager of the worldwide OEM program for Autodesk.

JFAX Personal Telecom has named Richard S Ressler as chief executive officer. He joins from MAI Systems, where he served as president and CEO.

Michael Hancock has been appointed deputy managing director at Pira International. He was formerly director of commercial affairs for the company. Marie Rushton, commercial manager of Pira International's information, training and publishing operations, has become a board director, while Ann Stirling Roberts, commercial manager of packaging, also joins the board.
