Weekly auto agenda: RetroMobile Paris

Retromobile begins in Paris on January 22, a collector car haven for those with enough money to bid and a fun day out for everybody else. The 102nd edition of the Chicago Auto Show opens in February, ahead of the start of the NASCAR season.

RetroMobile is known as the "Pebble Beach of Europe" (a reference to the prestigious classic car auction), and is expected to welcome over 120,000 visitors to the 35th year of the show. Auction highlights include a 1925 Bugatti Type 22 Brescia Roadster that has recently surfaced after 70 years at the bottom of Lake Maggiore.

The Chicago Auto Show spans 1.2 million square feet (more than 100 000 square meters) of space and displays over 1000 vehicles. With more space than is available at other events, manufacturers stage large exhibits here, such as test tracks and even rock concerts. This year will be the 102nd edition, making it the oldest show in the world.
