Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury criticised for not wearing face masks
‘Imagine not wearing a mask properly when you are able to. Set a better example,’ comments viewer
Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury have been criticised for not wearing face coverings in 21-year-old Hague’s latest YouTube video.
In the 20-minute vlog, Hague documents a luxury holiday to Dubai with Fury, and includes footage of the two of them sitting on a plane (where face coverings are compulsory except for when you’re eating and drinking) with their masks off.
During the video, the couple were also filmed in a taxi, in a lift, exiting a restaurant, and visiting an ice cream parlour, and in all instances, they were not wearing masks.
In Dubai, restrictions state that you must wear a face covering while in public spaces.
Exceptions to the rules, which allow no mask wearing, are similar to those in the UK and include when you are eating and exercising.
The couple have been criticised by viewers for not wearing masks.
“Imagine not wearing a mask properly when you are able to,” wrote one person. “Set a better example.”
“Can’t believe you both think the rules don’t apply to you,” another added.
“Everyone has to wear a mask while on the plane except when eating. Disgusting behaviour and you’re sharing this online.”
Others took issue with Hague sharing a video of a luxury holiday at all.
“This vlog actually made feel so down," wrote one person. “I’m pleased your having great time holidaying, seeing friends and living your best life... but for me and a lot of people it has been really difficult. The divide is real.”
The Independent has contacted representatives for both Hague and Fury for comment.
