Zach Braff has wished his girlfriend, Florence Pugh, happy birthday in a rare series of Instagram posts.
The couple, who are thought to have been dating since April 2019, are notoriously private about their relationship.
Now, the 45-year-old Scrubs star has shared his first social media post about Pugh to mark her 25th birthday.
On Sunday 3 January, the actor shared a series of photographs of him and Pugh together.
The photos included a selfie of the couple taken on what appears to be a plane and one of them embracing while on a hike.
Braff also shared two photos of Pugh alone, with one showing her doing a backbend in front of the “Hollywood” sign in Los Angeles.
He shared the photos alongside the following caption: "Happy Birthday to the most fun person I’ve ever met.
"I would have felt blessed to have smiled with you for one night. I can’t believe I get to giggle with you every day.
“What a pleasure it is to know you. What a gift to the world it was that you were born.”
Braff also shared several photos of himself with Pugh on his Instagram Story, including one of the duo snuggled up together on the sofa.
Braff’s Instagram post has already garnered more than 112,000 likes, but comments have been turned off.
The actor’s post comes after Pugh publicly defended her relationship with Braff in May after people criticised their 21-year age gap.
In an interview with ELLE UK the 25-year-old, who appeared in Little Women, said “people have no right to educate me on my private life”.
“I have the right to hang out and be with and go out with anyone I want to. I’ve always found this part of what people do really bizarre.
“I’m an actor because I like acting and I don’t mind people watching my stuff, but people have no right to educate me on my private life.”
Braff and Pugh are thought to have been dating for one year and nine months.
