Casa Amor is making its highly-anticipated return on Love Island, testing how committed the current couples on the reality television show are to one another.
Ever since it was first introduced in 2017 as a surprise twist, the arrival of Casa Amor has been an expected and exciting fixture for avid fans of the ITV2 show.
And now, during the first ever winter series of Love Island, it is back, stirring the pot with 12 brand new contestants.
As regular viewers of the dating competition will know, the introduction of Casa Amor means the separation of the current cohort of islanders.
During Monday evening’s episode of the television programme, the boys will be informed via text that they are going on a “lads holiday”, and must leave their South African villa in silence.
Unbeknownst to the girls, the boys will venture to a second villa, otherwise known as Casa Amor.
There, they will be joined by six new female islanders: Natalia, Eva, Molly, Jamie, Priscilla and Jade.
Meanwhile, after realising that the boys have all disappeared, the girls in the original villa will receive a visit from host Laura Whitmore.
Whitmore will then inform the girls that they are to be joined by six new male housemates: Jordan, Ched, Josh, Alexi, George and Biggs.
Several people expressed their excitement over the return of Casa Amor, with one person noting that it tends to result in “iconic moments” on the show.
“CASA AMOR IS HAPPENING!!! BRING ON THE DRAMA!!” one person tweeted.
“Can’t wait for the ‘my head’s been turned guys’ and ‘I’m happy but I could be happier’ moments after Casa Amor,” another remarked.
Last year marked the first time that the female islanders were sent to Casa Amor, rather than the boys.
