At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

On Friday, the Tottenham Hotspur footballer shared the news on Instagram, where he uploaded a photograph of the two of them laughing in front of an arch made from balloons.
The caption was of a pink love heart next to a blue love heart with the words “or” in between.
Kate shared the same photograph on her Instagram with the exact same caption.
Both posts prompted a flurry of congratulatory comments as friends, fans, and family members rushed to wish the couple well.
On Kane's post, fellow English footballers Eric Dier and Ryan Mason commented with an applause emoji.
The news comes after the couple marked their first wedding anniversary while in lockdown.
To acknowledge the occasion, Kate shared a photograph of a mug with the words: "Our first anniversary 2020, the one where we were in lockdown".
The text was written in the same text that is used for the cult US sitcom Friends, in reference to the "the one with" phrase.
Behind the mug were a number of cards and flowers.
One card had a photograph of the couple on their wedding day on the front, in which Kane could be seen kissing Kate's head.
Kane proposed in July 2017 when the couple, who were childhood sweethearts after meeting at school, were on holiday in Barbados.
