David and Victoria Beckham have paid tribute to one another on their 21st wedding anniversary, sharing throwback pictures on Instagram.

On 4 July 1999, David Beckham and Victoria Adams were married at Luttrellstown Castle in Ireland following a two-year relationship.

Widely known as “Posh and Becks”, the couple have four children together, ranging in age from 21 to eight years old.

In honour of their 21st wedding anniversary, both the former footballer and fashion designer shared nostalgic photo montages on Instagram looking back on key moments of their relationship.

In Victoria’s post, which was set to the Elton John song “Something About The Way You Look Tonight”, the 46-year-old included pictures from their wedding, of the couple attending red carpet events, on holiday and with their children.

“Happy Anniversary @davidbeckham. I can’t believe it has been 21 years since we said ‘I do’,” the former Spice Girls member said in the caption.

“Four children, four dogs, so much laughter and I love you more each day.”

In David’s caption, he referenced coming across Victoria before they started dating when he spotted her on television.

“Well about 23 years ago I was sat in a room with Gary Neville and the Spice Girls were on the TV and I turned around to him and said ‘Ohhhh I like that one in the little black catsuit’,” the 45-year-old stated.

“Who would have thought that all these years later we are celebrating 21 years of marriage and have four of the most beautiful and perfect kids. Thank you and Happy Anniversary I love you @victoriabeckham.”

David’s post included pictures and video clips featuring Victoria in hospital after giving birth, with their children and dancing at home in the kitchen.

Set to the Spice Girls tune “Say You’ll Be There”, the post also included a snippet from a Spice Girls music video, featuring Posh Spice at the front of the group facing the camera.

Numerous Instagram users wished the couple a happy anniversary, including several of their celebrity friends.

“Love you guys!” commented Victoria’s former Spice Girls band member Emma Bunton.

“Happy anniversary guys,” wrote retired footballer Robbie Keane, while Giancarlo Giammetti, co-founder of the fashion house of Valentino, said: “Congratulations dear Victoria and David!!!”

The couple’s three sons, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz, also shared Instagram posts in honour of their parents’ wedding anniversary.
