Every year on 14 February, our social media feeds become awash with public displays of affection as couples declare their love to one another via throwback snaps and candid selfies.
This year, actor Dylan Sprouse, reality star Kylie Jenner and model Hailey Bieber were among those to celebrate the day of love by posting photos dedicated to their significant others, much to the joy of their social media followers.
Here’s how your favourite celebrity couples celebrated Valentine’s Day on Instagram.
Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus
The 26-year-old singer marked Valentine's Day this year by sharing a series of previously unseen photographs from her wedding to actor Liam Hemsworth.
"My Valentine every single day," Cyrus wrote in one caption, adding in another: "Thank you for always bending down to hug me... I promise I will always meet you in the middle on my tippiest toes! I love you Valentine."
Travis Scott and Kylie Jenner
In what looked like one of the most elaborate Valentine’s Day settings, Kylie Jenner posted a video and an image of a red walkway that was adorned with heart-shaped, rose-covered arches.
Her one-year-old daughter Stormi is pictured in the image, sat underneath one of the arches in a red tutu dress, which she accessorised with a pink handbag. The reality star captioned the image “must be dreaming!!”.
Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry
The on-again, off-again couple have hinted that they might now be engaged after what fans suspect was a Valentine's Day proposal.
Both Bloom and Perry posted the same snap on Instagram, showing the singer wearing a flower-shaped ring on her engagement finger.
Perry captioned the image "full bloom", while Bloom wrote: "Lifetimes".
Justin and Hailey Bieber
Hailey Bieber shared a heartwarming black and white snap of her and singer Justin Bieber kissing on the beach alongside the caption, “I get to be his valentine forevaaa evaaa???”.
The couple got engaged last summer and married in a private ceremony in September.
Dylan Sprouse and Barbara Palvin
The 26-year-old actor paid homage to his model girlfriend, Barbara Palvin, by posting a photograph of the couple at the Hugo Boss New York Fashion Week show on Wednesday alongside a candid video of the two dancing to “Grease is the Word” by Frankie Valli.
Meanwhile, Palvin uploaded a video she and Sprouse did for W magazine, writing "Happy Valentine's Day" in the caption.
Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart
The Riverdale stars expressed their love to one another with individual Instagram posts.
Sprouse uploaded a portrait of Reinhart, 22, alongside the caption: “Quite literally the only thing keeping me sane is @lilireinhart”.
Meanwhile, Reinhart added a snap of the couple smiling at one another on what looks like a rooftop while the sun sets in the background. “You make me very happy,” she wrote, “Happy Valentine’s Day, my love.”
Wells Adams and Sarah Hyland
The Modern Family star uploaded a snap of her and Adams kissing on top of a mountain, writing in the caption underneath: “With you I feel like I’m on top of the world and I’ll always catch you if you fall... no matter how high we climb.
I love you to Pluto and back @wellsadams. I am so grateful and appreciative of everything you do for me. #happyvalentinesday#myperson."
Two hours later, Adams, who is a radio and podcast host, responded with a post dedicated to Hyland that showed the duo two in a close embrace on the beach, writing: “Hey @sarahhyland, will you be my Valentine? I love you +1 more than anything you say.”
