Now, the 6ft 7in basketball player has confirmed that he’ll be putting his culinary skills into action by joining ITV’s This Morning as a guest-chef.
Thanks to Soko’s abilities in the villa kitchen, where he regularly whipped up poached and scrambled eggs for his fellow contestants, the reality star will now be hosting his very own segment on Thursday’s show alongside hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford.
“Cooking on This Morning is going to be dope, but I’ll need to graft hard if my infamous eggs are to live up to the hype for Love Island fans Eamonn and Ruth,” Soko said in a statement about his new role.
“They’re daytime royalty after all.”
This Morning’s editor Martin Frizell said he was “thrilled to have signed up the islander, adding: “Here at This Morning we pride ourselves on nurturing and developing new talent.
“Ovie was undoubtedly one of the most popular Islanders this year and so we’re thrilled to have him on the show as a brand new guest chef.”
After his cooking segment, Soko will stick around for an interview with Holmes and Langsford to discuss his time on the ITV2 reality show and landing third-place with contestant India Reynolds on this year’s series.
Earlier this week, it was announced that fellow finalist Maura Higgins has also landed a job on the daytime TV show, hosting her own "Maura Than Meets the Eye" segment.
The slot will see the Irish star travel across the country solving viewers' problems.
Ahead of her debut, Higgins told The Mirror: “I’m getting flutters about joining This Morning. I can’t believe it. It’s beyond my wildest dreams.
"I’ve grown up watching Phillip, Holly, Eamonn, Ruth and the team. Mad to think I’m now part of that iconic family. Can’t wait to crack on."
