The final week of Love Island usually sees the couples being sent on romantic dates in a bid to confirm their love - or lust - for each other and give them the greatest shot at the £50,000 prize by wooing the public at the same time.

Although not the frontrunners to win the reality TV show, Kaz and Josh were considered very much in the running - despite the fact that they were voted the most smug couple in the villa.

However, the pair may have damaged their chances of winning the money after Josh’s comments about what he thought women should look like when they go to bed on last night’s Love Island.

Josh explained that he loves going on a date with a woman and thinking how beautiful she looks and how he can’t wait to get into bed with her.

But, he said, “the next thing you know, they’re getting into bed and you’re lying there thinking ‘I can’t wait for her to get into bed.’ And they’ve come in and they’ve got, like, your flipping T-shirt on, your old boxers, all the makeup’s off and you just think ‘Oh why couldn’t you have just kept that on?’”

Josh’s comments were met with exclamations of incredulity from men and women both inside the villa and on social media.

“So you don’t like that?” asked Kaz, Josh’s girlfriend.

And he swiftly backtracked, attempting to salvage the situation.

“No, no I do like that,” said Josh. But he then went on to imply that if he’d treated a woman to a fancy evening out, he would want her to keep her makeup on when they went to bed.

And needless to say, his remarks did not go down well.

“Kaz, your man is cancelled.”
